The XQuery Engine is an implementation of the XQuery language and provides a powerful mechanism for querying and processing large amounts of XML data using XQuery interface. Using a set of XML documents, an XQuery expression can be formulated and executed using the XQuery Engine to obtain the result.
Unlike current XQuery processors that have size restrictions on input XML data of less than 5MB, in the case of the XQuery Engine, it has its own memory management model and one of the major advantages of this is the ability to work with large volumes of data. ATS has successfully tested using 3 GB of input XML data with the XQuery Engine. |
